As the demand for digital skills in the UK continues to grow there are two main challenges. How do we reskill our current staff and how do we increase the size of the pipeline of digital skills overall? Perhaps more challenging is how the working paradigm is changing. The workplace can enforce ways of working which is alien to millennials. Their expectations are different to people who have been in the workforce for longer. Getting the most from new joiners to the workforce is now the major challenge to the on-going success of any business.
I thought the quality and mix of contributions and the engagement from the audience was excellent.
It felt more like an interactive team exercise in some respects, than a sit back and listen conference, and for me was more enjoyable and genuinely helpful for that. Similar folks, passionate about their brands and their work, but with different best practice to share – very collaborative, which I personally like.
So all good and thanks for the chance to take part. It’s always a drain on time, which none of us have, but it was worth it.
