CIO - London, UK 9th November, 2016
The Montcalm, London

Event Description

Be apart of our flagship meeting of senior IT professionals focusing on Digital Transformation and the future of cyber security

We constantly hear industry commentators talk about the engine of IT change – this year it’s cloud computing, social business, mobile computing and, big data or analytics. We also hear talk about how customers’ expectations are changing and how businesses need to deliver better joined-up, high-quality customer experiences.

Because of this we have leveraged our global IT community to create a world-class, executive driven academic platform to help you make the right decisions for your organisation. This years’ events will discuss “the digital enterprise” and how CIO’s will utilise technology to gain a competitive advantage and debate the digital transformation going into 2016.

The Event is held globally and features over 100 CIO's in each region championing think tanks, panel discussions and workshops creating a dynamic mix of thought leadership, and best practice strategies.

The CIO series currently operates in UK&I, Europe, Middle East, Africa and North America

‘Is the legacy issue we face the Computers or the People?’

The points to debate being:

•         Technical change is getting ever easier, but organisational constructs can just get more embedded when faced with a need to change, how do we bridge that gap?
•         The way organisations set rewards and goals are often counter to innovation and change – how do we change that?
•         Clinging to what you know is comforting, how do we make innovation palatable to those doing BAU?

Words from our attendees
  • I just wanted to say congratulations on a great event and thank you all for your help, especially Ceri and Sarah who have spent time in advance and at the event with me to help me get the most out of the days here.I have really enjoyed the event, and made some good new contacts as well as insights into common challenges we are all facing in the CIO community. It’s been run superbly so thank you, and I look forward to the future events.

    - John Nother - Group CIO, Card Factory
  • Congratulations on a superb event! A well worked agenda with relevant content and an invaluable opportunity to meet with a senior audience in an environment as stunning and inspiring as the Celtic Manor.Throughout my esteemed career I have attended more events than I care to recall, but this one really stands for me as being amongst the best! I would like to thank the team at GBE for their diligence and commitment to creating a outstanding event from start to finish. Thanks

    - Shane Stowells - Sales Director, Tangoe

  • I thought the quality and mix of contributions and the engagement from the audience was excellent.

It felt more like an interactive team exercise in some respects, than a sit back and listen conference, and for me was more enjoyable and genuinely helpful for that. Similar folks, passionate about their brands and their work, but with different best practice to share – very collaborative, which I personally like.

So all good and thanks for the chance to take part. It’s always a drain on time, which none of us have, but it was worth it.

    - Tim Sinclair - Marketing & Retail, Alrayan Bank
  • This was our first experience with Global Business Events and first impressions are important. I was impressed by the level of seniority at the event. The venue worked well, the size of the event was good for networking and the 1−2−1 business
meetings were strong. Well done and I look forward to the next event’.

    - Rob Simms - Sales Director, BOX
