Panel Discussion: Solving the Skill Shortage in FM

While the FM industry has grown rapidly over the last three decades, it now faces a skills shortage as a result of any change in immigration policy following Brexit and a lack of skilled applicants.

Ironically, at a time when FM offers more exciting and dynamic career possibilities, recruitment seems to be the biggest challenge facing organisations looking to fill FM roles. The changing face of FM is both its greatest asset and the root cause of a major skills shortage that all within the industry must work together to address.

  • The CIO Event is a truly global event with international perspectives on current IT trends. These include the usual Social, Mobile, Cloud, Security, 'Internet of Things', Big Data/Analytics, Etc.     It felt more like an interactive team exercise in some respects, than a sit back and listen conference, and for me was more enjoyable and genuinely helpful for that.
